What is CRP RED?
CRP RED is a pyrethrum extract 2% micro-emulsion (ME) insecticide with plant-derived emulsifiers/wetters. It delivers rapid knock-down of sucking pests and larvae while fitting cleanly into IRAC 3A rotation plans.
What it controls?
-
Effective Against: Aphids, whiteflies, thrips, jassids/leafhoppers, psylla adults, and early-stage larvae present on leaf and flower surfaces.
How it works (IRAC 3A)?
-
Pyrethrum acts on the insect nervous system by keeping voltage-gated sodium channels open, causing continuous nerve impulses that result in rapid knockdown and paralysis.
-
As a contact insecticide, its effectiveness depends on thorough spray coverage. Ensure uniform application across the entire leaf surface with adequate spray volume for best performance.
-
Pyrethrum is sensitive to sunlight (photolabile), so late evening or night-time applications help maximise efficacy.
Directions for Use
-
Dose (foliar): 2-3 ml/L
-
Nozzle/droplet: Hollow/adjustable cone, fine-to-medium (VMD ~200–300 µm), 2–3 bar.
-
Best time: Late afternoon/evening or night; leaves should dry in 1–2 h.
-
Application Interval: Monitor the field after 48 hours. If pest pressure continues, repeat the spray after 7–10 days.
Quick dose conversions
Tank size |
CRP 3-in-1 |
CRP RED |
|---|---|---|
| 15 L | 75 mL | 30–45 mL |
| 20 L | 100 mL | 40–60 mL |
| 200 L | 1.0 L | 400–600 mL |
Resistance Management (IRAC 3A)
-
Avoid consecutive applications of IRAC 3A products under continuous pest pressure.
-
Rotate the next spray with a different IRAC group (such as 4A/4D, 5, 9, 23, or 28) as per crop label recommendations.
-
Always use the full recommended dose. Reduce the number of sprays if needed, do not reduce the dosage.
Simple Program with CRP 3-in-1
Routine Weeks:
- Apply CRP 3-in-1 alone to maintain plant vigor and manage stress.
Pest Pressure Weeks:
- Spray CRP RED first for knock-down control.
- Follow with CRP 3-in-1 the next morning to support recovery, vigor, and continued protection.
Next Round:
If pest population persists, rotate to a non-IRAC 3A product for resistance management. Continue using CRP 3-in-1 in every round to maintain crop strength.
Why farmers prefer CRP RED?
-
Visible Results by Next Morning – Provides fast knock-down effect that farmers can clearly observe within hours.
-
Clean Micro-Emulsion (ME) Formula – Mixes quickly in water, spreads evenly on leaves, and has minimal odor.
-
Plant-Based Emulsion Technology – Enhances spray spreading and ensures better leaf coverage.
-
Perfect Partner for CRP 3-in-1 – During heavy pest pressure weeks, it works seamlessly with CRP 3-in-1 to deliver both crop vigor and strong knock-down action.
COMPARISION FOR OTHR CHEMICAL PESTIICDES VS CRP RED
Feature |
Conventional Chemical Pesticides / Fungicides (EC, WP, WG, SC, SL) |
CRP Red (Pyrethrum 2% + Plant Extracts) |
Base Composition |
Synthetic active ingredients with chemical solvents and additives (e.g., xylene, NMP, DMF, kaolin, preservatives) | 100% bio-based formulation with pyrethrum extract and botanical oils (neem-type & plant extracts) |
Mode of Action |
Directly kills or suppresses pests/fungi; fast acting but mostly single-target | Repels pests, prevents feeding and egg-laying, and strengthens the plant’s natural defense system. |
Residue Profile |
May leave chemical residues, affecting export quality and food safety | Zero harmful residues; suitable for export crops, organic systems, and consumer safety |
Impact on Beneficials |
Can harm natural predators and soil microbial life | Selective and eco-friendly; safer for beneficial insects and soil microbes |
Resistance Risk |
Repeated use often leads to rapid resistance development | A multi-plant extract formulation that lowers the risk of resistance development in pests. |
Safety |
Requires protective gear and careful handling | Safer for farmers and the environment; free from toxic chemical solvents |
Usage Flexibility |
Generally applied during severe pest or disease outbreaks | Suitable for both preventive and curative use; fits well into IPM and organic programs |
Combination Of Chemicals
